◆ About us

The consumer credit licence specialists.

We prepare complete FCA consumer credit authorisation packs for UK businesses that offer customer finance — and that is all we do.

CreditLicence helps UK businesses get FCA-authorised to offer their customers finance. If your business lets customers pay over time — or introduces them to a lender — you may need consumer credit authorisation, and we prepare the complete application pack that gets you there.

What we do

Getting a consumer credit licence has traditionally meant one of two things: wrestling with the FCA's application process alone, or paying a consultancy several thousand pounds. We built CreditLicence to offer a third way — a complete, professionally prepared FCA limited permission application pack for a fixed £995, ready in three working days.

That pack includes everything the FCA expects: a regulatory business plan, the compliance policies and procedures appropriate to your business, financial forecasts, and clear step-by-step guidance for submitting your application. We focus on businesses that offer finance as a secondary part of what they do — car dealers, retailers, clinics, home-improvement firms, jewellers and more — where limited permission is the right, proportionate route.

How we're different

We publish our price. There is no call to book before you can find out what it costs, and no hourly billing that climbs as the work goes on. £995 covers your complete document pack; the FCA's own application fee (currently £550 for limited permission) is paid separately and directly to the regulator, exactly as it would be however you apply.

And consumer credit authorisation is all we do. We are not a general compliance consultancy that also happens to offer this — it is our single focus, which is why we can do it quickly, thoroughly and at a fixed price.

Who's behind CreditLicence

Peter Zac

Founder

CreditLicence was founded by Peter Zac, who holds an MBA from London Business School and has spent more than 20 years working across financial services, regulated industries and digital marketing. That experience spans the practical realities of how regulated firms operate and how businesses offering customer finance sit within the FCA's framework.

He started CreditLicence to make consumer credit authorisation genuinely accessible to the smaller businesses that need it — the dealer, the clinic, the retailer offering finance as a sideline — without the cost or the jargon that has long surrounded it.

A note on what we are

CreditLicence is a document preparation service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the Financial Conduct Authority. We do not provide legal or financial advice, and we cannot guarantee the outcome of any FCA application. What we do is prepare a complete, well-evidenced application pack that gives your submission the best possible footing.
